News and Notes 11/8/10

- Ratings for Superstar were decent, but SmackDown's ratings were underwhelming. Officials expected this to happen though, so there isn't any panic mode going on.

- Raw is in the can, here are some spoilers from the show:
John Cena is to be fired if he doesn't show up. Sheamus vs Zack Ryder. Orton interview. Goldust vs Ted Dibiase vs Daniel Bryan. Tyson Kidd vows revenge will be had. The Miz vs CM Punk.

- Here's an updated card for Survivor Series in two weeks:
WWE Championship
Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett

World Heavyweight Championship
Kane vs Rey Mysterio

Million Dollar Championship
Goldust vs Ted Dibiase

- Plans for WrestleMania are to have a CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan match for the United States championship, that is if Bryan still holds the title.

Lexicon takes over the Universe

With the release of WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2011, Lexicon has begun doing his version of the WWE on YouTube again. And with the return of that, we re-introduce the dirt-sheet blog! For those who are new to these videos, this blog acts like a dirt sheet to those videos. So, if you don't like spoilers, turn away now.... ok, for the rest of you that want to know the inside info, look no further!

-Monday marked the return of Lexicon's WWE, and it was met with mixed reactions. Officials are said to be disappointed with the Daniel Bryan vs Tyson Kid match, but are supposedly sold on Todd Grisham as Raw GM. The word is that they have big plans for Grisham.

-The ratings are in for Raw this past Monday and the final numbers are as followed:
1618 Total Views
609 Part 1 Views
446 Part 2 Views
563 Part 3 Views
Officials are said to be happy with these ratings and hope that Raw will improve next week with the storylines starting to take shape.

-The WWE Superstars rating will be in tomorrow, but it's expected to be much lower than Raw, despite having better quality matches.

-SmackDown is expected to be uploaded by tonight. Officials are VERY pleased with what they have planned for SD in general. It's said that the quality of SD will be much higher for the rest of this year. Here are the matches that are planned for SD so far:
Intercontinental Championship - Dolph Ziggler defends against Kaval
Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre

-A BIG storyline for Survivor Series is supposed to be started on SmackDown involving both GM's. The storyline is expected to bring in a returning WWE Champion no matter the outcome.

Tickets still on sale for Armageddon

RAW, ECW, & SmackDown present WWE Armageddon live from San Antonio, TX in the AT&T Center. Tickets are still on sale. Here is the updated card:

Hell in a Cell
Chris Jericho VS Big Show

WWE Tag Team Championship
JeriShow VS Winner of the ECW Tag Tourney

United States Championship
Hell in a Cell
Shawn Michaels VS Triple H

WWE Championship
John Cena (unless Santino beats him) VS Winner of the fans vote

World Heavyweight Championship
Matt Hardy VS The Undertaker

News & Notes
- A masked man debuted on SmackDown, attacking Rey Mysterio. Many people backstage think that once the masked man wrestles, his moves will be a dead give-away, so he might not remain masked for too long.

- On RAW, Santino found a briefcase on the ground backstage. Many believe this is going to lead to a sub storyline involving either a new superstar or one currently in the opening card status being Bret Hart's assistant.

- Many believe that Shawn Michaels will win the voting for the WWE Championship match at Armageddon. If he does, he'll have 2 title matches in one night in his hometown of San Antonio. There's a good chance that Michaels could win both matches, though he'll be pretty banged up after his Hell in a Cell match against HHH.

- Former ROH star Bryan Danielson debuted on ECW as a part of the tag tourney. He teamed up with Evan Bourne. Many think it was obvious that Bourne carried the match, but have faith that Danielson will have a strong showing when he faces Ted DiBiase next week, one-on-one for the #1 Contendership of the ECW Title. It's worthy to note, however, that Christian will not be defending the title if he and Edge win the Tag Tourney.

- It is rumored that this WrestleMania will be The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels last match. If this is true, WWE needs to get 2 of their bigger development stars ready. RAW has already started their superstar initiative, and ECW is booming as of late. SmackDown has a fresh champion, but other than CM Punk and Taker, he doesn't have a leading heel opponent. It is believed that if JeriShow loses their tag titles at Armageddon, Jericho will challenge for the world heavyweight title.

Ratings for November
-Survivor Series had 5,632 combined views for the month of November. Lexicon will use this as a benchmark to judge the views of future PPV's. The obvious goal is to increase the view of each PPV. Each PPV has 2 weeks, then after that, all other views will be counted as DVD sales.

-Month of 11/1/09-11/29/09
RAW had 38,578 views for the month
ECW had 14,885 views for the month
SmackDown had 6,094 views for the month

- Many think that the reason that RAW won November by so much was because of the boost in the beginning, and that December will be much more interesting. ECW is the favorite to win December right now, but is still stifled because they only have enough time for 2 matches instead of 3, which is a loss of about 600 400-500 views. The highest rated segment was the opening to the 11/2/09 RAW, while the lowest rated segment was Mickie James VS Michelle McCool on SmackDown.

Match of the Month
- Every month we'll have a poll for the match of the month. Next November, we'll take the winners of each month and place them in a poll to determine the Match of the Year. Here's the poll for the month of November:
